MOT was very excited to aid in solving one of GtS’s main problems: transportation. MOT purchased two 15-passanger vans and the beginning months of insurance for GtS after the directors of GtS met certain criteria. Specifically GtS was required to:
- find vans that would meet the club’s unique transportation needs;
- Negotiate a reasonable price on the vans (as a side note, GtS did such a good job they got 2 vans for the price of 1!);
- Find a mechanic that would donate his/her time to repair and maintain the vehicles; and
- Raise enough money to pay for insurance after the 6-month policy MOT bought for the group lapsed.
All conditions were met and it was very exciting to hand over the keys.
